Description

Based on the hydrodynamic description, the influence of inhomogeneity and finite pressure of a plasma on the characteristics of nonlinear Langmuir oscillations is considered. It is demonstrated that in the case of weak nonuniformity the nonlinear Langmuir oscillations become non harmonic and are described by the Duffing equation
