On the determining solidus and liquidus temperature of metals and alloys with the help of penetrating radiation

Description
Developed is the technique for determining the temperatures of solidus and liquidus of metals and alloys (copper,nickel, the Kh15N5MD and 15KhM1FA steels) with the help of penetrating radiation. The solidification vertically directed and the application of thermopairs specially calibrated permits to increase the measurement accuracy. The comparison of results obtained by the method proposed and with the help of the differential thermal analysis has shown a good agreement
