Description

A study was dedicated to examining whether the Dutch heat companies Eneco New Energy, Essent Heat and Nuon Heat acted strategically by establishing too high internal purchase prices for the production of heat with the aim of lowering the returns of heat supply. The Netherlands Competition Authority NMa has examined from various angles whether strategic cost calculation has occurred. The Institute Financial Investigations (IFO) was given the assignment of researching the manner in which the purchase costs for heat supply are established in integrated heat companies.

Abstract (Dutch)

Er is onderzocht of de warmtebedrijven Eneco New Energy, Essent Warmte en NUON Warmte strategisch hebben gehandeld door te hoge interne inkoopprijzen voor de productie van warmte vast te stellen, met als doel de rendementen op warmtelevering te verlagen. De NMa onderzoekt vanuit verschillende invalshoeken of er sprake is geweest van strategische kostentoerekening. Het Instituut voor Financieel Onderzoek (IFO) heeft de opdracht gekregen om onderzoek te doen naar de wijze waarop inkoopkosten van warmtelevering bij geintegreerde warmtebedrijven tot stand komen.
