Description
The ternary system U-Y-C has been investigated at 14000C using X-ray, electron probe microanalysis and reflected light microscopy. Arc-melted and annealed alloys of various compositions were examined and the major phase fields established. Extensive solid solubility occurs within the system and the solubility limits are reported. (orig.)
