A characterization of the Bondi-Metzner-Sachs group

Description
The Bondi-Metzner-Sachs (BMS) group can be realized as the group of diffeomorphisms preserving a certain geometrical structure on the Manifold R x S2. This structure is equivalent to that of the angles and null-angles of (future or past) null infinity for asymptotically flat space-times. (author)
