Electron linear accelerator

Description

The invention is aimed at increasing the efficiency of electron linear accelerator, designed for application in nuclear physics, radiation chemistry, flaw detection and activation analysis. For this purpose two sequentially located and mutually coaxial accelerating resonators are introduced to the secondary accelerating section feedback circuit, and the channel of electron beam transport is located between the accelerating section and the first resonator inlet. In the transitional regime the amplitude of HF-field intensity in the accelerating resonators exceeds the intensity of a field entering to them in the stationary regime. This leads to an increase of the rate of HF-energy accumulation in them. Due to this a beam of electrons is accelerated using the energy stored in them. 1 fig
