Nuclear Landau-Zener promotion in the reactions of the system 13C + 16O → 12C + 17O
Description
Nucleon molecular-orbital model based on the coupled-reaction-channel theory is applied to the system 13C + 16O → 12C + 17O. Landau-Zener radial coupling effects explain the backward enhancement of measured differential cross sections of the transfer reaction 13C(16O, 17O)12C. In the calculation for the fusion cross section an enhancement is observed at and below the barrier, which agrees with the experimental data. (author)
