Method to operate power reactors with light water cooling
Description
The invention provides a possibility to 'condition' the fuel of a power plant used in base load operation, i.e. to bring it to such a high power density level that the local excesses arising with the occasional total power changes, remain below the power densities reached in normal operation (conditioning level). Die Erfindung schafft eine Moeglichkeit, den Brennstoff eines im Grundlastbetrieb eingesetzten Kraftwerks zu 'konditionieren', d.h. auf so hohe Leistungsdichteniveaus zu bringen, dass die bei gelegentlichen Gesamtleistungsaenderungen auftretenden lokalen Ueberhoehungen unterhalb der im Normalbetrieb erreichten Leistungsdichten (Konditionierungsniveau) bleiben.
