Serphotron acceleration of charged particles in periodical structures

Possibility of serphotron mechanism of charged particle acceleration by the field of electromagnetic waves, propagating in periodical electrodynamic structures was shown. Acceleration rate was determined and transverse and phase stability of charged particle motion was considered. 4 refs
