Energy-weighted sum rule for magnetic multipole transitions
Description
An energy-weighted sum rule for magnetic multipole transitions Mlambda is proposed as a generalization of the Kurath sum rule. The role of the spin-orbit potential is discussed, and corrections due to nuclear interaction are calculated explicitly using Skyrme forces. It is shown that, while for lambda = 1 the whole contribution comes from spin-oribt potential, for lambda > 1 the main part is due to the kinetic energy
