Electron temperature estimation for plasmas formed by Kr F laser of (Al, Cu, Mo, Ta, W) metal targets

  • 1. Univ. of Baghdad, Baghdad (Iraq), Institute of Laser and Plasma for Postgraduate Studies

Description

The plasmas formed by irradiating metal targets namely (Aluminum, Copper Molybdenum, Tantalum and Tungsten) with Kr F laser (248 nm, 20 ns) at low pressure are studied and analyzed. Spectroscopic technique is employed using optical multichannel analyzer (OMAIII). The production and identification of UV spectra ranging from 200 nm to 400 nm are investigated. Selective identified lines are chosen to estimate the electron temperature using lines intensity ratio method. The results are related to the environment of the emitting plasma in this region and compared with available results. (author)
