Control rod drive for a nuclear reactor
Description
In a hydraulic control rod drive for fast shutdown of a BWR in order to move the control rod downwards, the hydraulic flow from below upwards is blocked by a valve. A gap between the piston and the cylinder is used to allow the hydraulic liquid displaced by the piston to pass through. It determines the speed of fall. For movement upwards, the speed of movement is limited by a throttle cross section with at most three times the gap cross section. The new drive is particularly suitable for shut-off rods with an on or off position. (orig./HP)

Bei einem hydraulischen Steuerstabantrieb zur Schnellabschaltung eines SWR wird zur Bewegung des Steuerstabes nach unten die von unten nach oben verlaufende Hydraulikstroemung durch ein Ventil gesperrt. Ein zwischen dem Kolben und dem Zylinder vorgesehener Spalt dient dann als Durchlass fuer die vom Kolben verdraengte Hydraulikfluessigkeit. Er bestimmt die Fallgeschwindigkeit. Fuer die Bewegung nach oben wird die Fahrgeschwindigkeit durch einen Drosselquerschnitt mit hoechstens dem Dreifachen des Spaltquerschnittes begrenzt. Der neue Antrieb eignet sich besonders fuer Abschaltstaebe mit Ein- oder Ausstellung. (orig./HP)Files
