Concomitant chemo-radiotherapy in locally advanced oesophagus carcinomas

Description

The aim of concomitant chemo-radiotherapy in the treatment of patients having a locally advanced oesophagus carcinomas was to make operable some patients judged initially inoperable or at the limit of resectability and to improve the local control with regard to the only radiotherapy. These associations seem to be tolerable, they allow to get the resectability of 35% of cases, with 24% of complete histologic remissions. The reduction in time of the treatment would improve these results
