Description
Highlights: • The fine-scale grain (∼1 μm) of U-5.4 wt%Nb alloy was obtained using melt spinning. • The formation of inclusions was suppressed kinetically due to high cooling rate. • The U-5.4 wt%Nb alloys with different average grain sizes exhibited diverse energy dissipation capacities.
