Description

This paper is dedicated to consideration of 3 modes of design effects specification which are proposed in Russia for evaluation of NPS seismic stability. The first mode is setting of synthetic accelerograms package, the second one is definition of narrow-band effects ensemble and the third one is a short time process. The proposed techniques of the design effects evaluation are oriented primarily on designing seismic isolated NPS REACTOR BUILDING. The requirements, imposed on the effect package, comprise its multi-purpose capability (provision of engineering reliability of the station under design in any sites) and, wherever possible, maximum conformity with existing statistical data on seismic effects.
