Description
The rupture of a main steam line is considered to be a Service Level D Condition, so that Appendix F of ASME Section III applies. Under the rules of Appendix F, yielding is permissable provided structural capacity exists to resist applied loads. For both Units No. 1 and 2, the results of the analysis indicate that even with the snubbers in the degraded conditions Appendix F is satisfied. (orig.HP)
