Optical imaging of flashlamp discharge to laser medium
Description
This invention relates to laser excitation and in particular to a system for providing a confined region of excitation for a laser medium and is of particular interest in uranium enrichment. A pumping system for a laser medium is described which provides both high efficiency and limited heating by shifting the region of excitation of the laser medium out from the boundary of the laser medium.
