High performance remote controlled x-ray diagnostic table, model ZS-30

Because of some structural restrictions, a flat tabletop in an overtable tube type X-ray diagnostic table and the connection of a cassetteless spotfilm device with an automatic film processor were considered difficult. Shimadzu realized a flat tabletop for the overtable tube type X-ray diagnostic table by designing a compact spotfilm device and by introducing a new mechanism in the tabletop sliding. While, a new method was established for connecting a cassetteless spotfilm device with an automatic film processor by developing a compact connecting unit. As a result, image quality was also improved through the reduction of the attenuation equivalent of the materials between the patient and the image receptor. (author)
