Process and device for replacing a nuclear reactor vessel head adaptor
Description
The operation to replace an adaptor is performed from above the convex face of the vessel head after removing the control rod drives and the thermal sleeve. The adaptor is machined out by introducing an appropriate tool through the upper end of the adaptor. After extraction of the adaptor the replacing adaptor is introduced by cold shrink and then welded. 9 figs
