Thermodynamic studies in the system cerium-gadolinium-oxygen

Description
Two independent measuring methods have been applied to studying the phase relations of the system cerium-gadolinium. The calorimetric measurements have been done in a high-temperature calorimeter with cerium dioxide doped with 10 mole % of Gd2O3. Further thermodynamic quantities have been obtained by the electrochemical method and e.m.f. measurements, yielding additional information on disorders in doped cerium dioxide. (orig./BBR)
Abstract (German)
Die Phasenverhaeltnisse des Cer-Gadolinium-Systems wurden mittels zweier voneinander unabhaengiger Messmethoden aufgeklaert. Dazu wurden an mit 10 mol% Gd2O3 dotiertem Cerdioxid kalorimetrische Messungen in einem Hochtemperaturkalorimeter vorgenommen. Unabhaengig davon wurden auf elektrochemischem Wege mittels EMK-Messungen weitere thermodynamische Groessen ermittelt, um somit zusaetzliche Informationen ueber die Fehlordnung im dotierten Cerdioxid zu erhalten.
