Pulsed particle beams in the plasma focus and in astrophysics
Description
Magnetic pinches in the laboratory 'plasma focus' and in astrophysical magnetic vortex tubes (MVTs) can become sources of relativistic charged particles. A mechanism for the emergence of pulsed beams of alternately negative and positive charges from the MVT in both directions is proposed. From the plasma focus one obtains pulsed electron and positive-ion beams in opposite directions. (author)
