Structural studies of hydrogen storage materials with neutron diffraction. A review

Description
To understand hydrogen absorption and desorption properties and to design hydrogen storage materials, structural information (especially, hydrogen position information) is fundamental. Neutron diffraction is a unique probe that is used for determination of hydrogen position in materials. In this paper, structural studies of hydrogen storage materials are briefly reviewed. The associated hydrides are important not only for hydrogen storage but also for their new functionalities like ionic conduction and device applications. (author)
