Description

Paper shows the results of investigation into dynamics of electronic excitations and luminescence in LiB3O5 (LBO) crystals obtained by low-temperature luminescent spectroscopy of vacuum ultraviolet with subnanosecond time resolution under 7 and 290 K. One distinguished bands of luminescence associated with intracenter transitions in lattice defects (2.7 and 3.3 eV). One identified the bands of proper photoluminescence (PL) under 3.6 and 4.2 eV caused by radiant annihilation of self-localized electronic excitations of two types. It is determined that τ = 8.8 ns component of dying down manifests itself in both bands of LBO proper PL. Solely its relative contribution in these bands undergoes changes
