Prospective developments in the field of turbo-generator manufacturing at the Muelheim plant (Simens, FRG)

Description
Prospective designs of turbo-generators for NPPs developed by the Simens company (FRG) are considered. Intensive researches on creation of two-pole turbo-generators with capacity of approximately 2000 MVxA are being performed. A test bench for the superconducting generator developed is manufactured. A model superconducting rotor with the capacity of 120/400 MVxA is produced. By 1995 it is planned to create a prototype of superconducting turbo-generator with the 850 MVxA capacity
