Description

Single crystals of samarium hydrogen selenite (SHS) are grown in hydrosilica gel by controlled reaction of samarium nitrate with selenous acid. The growth conditions and morphology of the crystal are studied. The grown crystals are characterised by using x-ray diffraction, optical absorption and thermogravimetric methods. (author)
