Worldwide energy in 2006: the gaps are rising between countries and energy sources

Since the increase in 2004 (4.9%), the rhythm of growth of the primary worldwide energy consumption has fallen down again in 2005 (2.6%) and in 2006 (2.4%) but these rates remain superior to the average of those of the last 25 years (1.9%). Behind this global tendency, there are contrasted consumptions dynamics by countries and by sources. (O.M.)
