Temperature dependence of the Hall-effect in some amorphous transition metal alloys

  • 1. Technische Univ. Muenchen, Garching (Germany, F.R.). Fakultaet fuer Physik

Description

The Hall coefficient of some amorphous CuTi and CuZr alloys is found to decrease with increasing temperature. Effects due to d-electrons and disorder may be responsible not only for the positive sign but also for the temperature dependence of this quantity. Below about 25 K the data can be described by a T1/2-law. This fact gives support to the presence of electron-electron interaction effects in accordance with theoretical predictions. (Auth.)
