Description
A method of read-out and transfer of data from FASTBUS to a VMEbus host computer is described. This uses FASTBUS Segment Manager Interfaces, the 32 bit ECL bus and an ECL ported VMEbus memory. Binary machine code is given for the Segment Manager Interface which enables it to perform the data read-out and transfer independent of the host CPU. The results of measurements to test the speed of the acquisition system are presented and comparison is made with previously used hardware and software. (orig.)
