Pressure dependence of 5sp-impurity hyperfine fields in ferromagnetic elements: 125Te in iron

Using the 35.5-keV Moessbauer resonance of 125Te the pressure dependence of the magnetic hyperfine field at dilute Te impurities in iron was determined at 4.2 K : d(lnBsub(h)sub(f))/dP = -(1.4 +- 0.5) x 10-3 kbar-1. The result is discussed together with those for other non-magnetic impurities in Fe, Co, and Ni within the framework of existing theories for impurities hyperfine fields. The electronic density at the nucleus of Te in Fe ist found to decrease with increasing pressure. (orig.)
