Energy distribution in dissociation fragments of YNO-type molecules
Description
Photodissociation of NO containing molecules excited in the vacuum ultra violet with the synchrotron radiation of the Orsay Storage ring yields excited states of NO. The NO fluorescence has been analyzed to obtain the internal energy partitioning as a function of excess energy. The results indicate a transition from a statistical behaviour in organic nitrites to a specific behaviour in nitrosyl chloride. In the latter case, on the basis of a quantum mechanical half collision model, a rapid pre-dissociative process has been proposed to explain the results. (author)
Abstract (French)
(auteur)Files
