Radionuclide assessment of the liver function changes in patients with phlegmonas in the facio-maxillary region
Creators
Description
The effect of endogenic intoxication on the liver function in 171 patients with different severity of the inflammatory process is investigated. Static liver scintigraphy is made at different intervals after the surgical intervention. The scintigrams are analyzed by conventional methods. 12 healthy volunteers are examined for determination of the relative activity of the preparation (99mTc-labelled colloid Fiton) which was found to be 42.6±0.3 pulses/cm2 (image area - 138±5.5 cm2). It was observed a reliable correlation between the body intoxication indices (leucocite intoxication index, paramecine test and mean molecules level) and the liver relative activity indices. The method is assessed as an trustworthy tool not only for evaluation of liver function changes in inflammatory diseases, but also for treatment efficiency determination and pathological process forecasting. 2 tabs., 11 refs
