Characteristics of cold rolled stainless steel sheets
Description
The cold rolling of sheets of austenitic stainless steel was investigated for different temperatures and percentages of reduction. It was also established under which conditions are the mechanical strenght and the ductility improved. It was found that this improvement is related to the characteristics of martensitic transformation taking place during rolling and through the tensile tests performed in stainless steels with different degree of martensitic transformation. The results are explained on the basis of martensite participation in the stained structure. (Author)

A laminacao a frio de chapas de acos inoxidaveis austeniticos foi investigada para as condicoes de temperatura e percentagem de reducao associadas a melhoria na resistencia mecanica e na dutilidade do produto. Verificou-se que esta melhoria esta relacionada as caracteristicas de transformacao martensitica introduzida atraves da laminacao e durante o ensaio do produto laminado. Para tal foram realizados ensaios de tracao em acos com diferentes niveis de propensao a transformacao martensitica. Os resultados obtidos sao explicados com base na participacao da martensita na estrutura deformada. (Autor)Files
