Description
After briefly reviewing the transport phenomena in mesoscopic systems, we show some results of our numerical simulation on the conductance of mesoscopic systems in the intermediate region between metallic and insulating regimes. There appears a remarkable structure of many sharp peaks in the energy dependence of conductance. We give some discussions on our numerical results from a theoretical point of view, and compare them with the random matrix theory, paying attention especially to the magnetic field dependence of the distribution of peaks
