Rotation measures of extragalactic radio sources

Description

The polarization observations of 44 radio sources, particularly at short wavelengths, reveal that in general the variation of position angle with the square of the wavelength is not linear. In addition, the sense of circular polarization at short wavelengths agrees with that of the rotation measure at short wavelengths which adds support to the synchrotron hypothesis for the generation of circular polarization.
