Description
The post December 1989 policy guidelines concerning the nuclear power program in Romania are highlighted. Critical opinions are expressed with respect to governmental treatment of the nuclear power issues, particularly with the development of the Cernavoda NPP, the shut down of the research nuclear reactor of the Institute for Physics and Nuclear Engineering, at Magurele, the provisions of the national nuclear and nuclear safety programs, as well as, the nuclear legislation. Also, suggestions concerning the public information in the field of nuclear energy and the juridical issues related to the technological transfer are mentioned
