Superfield anatomy of the Fayet-Sohnius multiplet

Description

The differential constraints on the N = 2 Fayet--Sohnius superfield are interpreted as analyticity conditions. It is shown that this superfield, expanded in N = 1 superfields off the mass shell, contains two chiral superfields defined over two complex (4,2) superspaces respectively. The central charge is realized bilinearly in spinor derivatives
