Gravitational instantons from the Ashtekar variables

Description

We present an ansatz, suggested by Ashtekar's reformulation of general relativity, which exactly solves the field equations with a cosmological constant. These solutions are gravitational instantons, i.e. self-dual Euclidean solutions of the Einstein field equations. (author)
