High-speed automated proton spectrometer
- 1. Khar'kov Applied Physics Institute, Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR
Description
This paper describes a high-speed wide-aperture 12-channel proton spectrometer that operates with recording apparatus for automatic processing of measurement results. During one transmission of beam particles with a duration of from a few to hundreds of microseconds, the spectromiter provides a panoramic view of the energy spectrum of the beam from the injection energy to the output energy of the accelerator. The operation of the instrument is based on the dependence of the particle path in a material on energy. The CAMAC-compatible recording apparatus for automated processing of measurement results is also described
