Differential nonlinearity of MCA with a successive approximation ADC

Description

The differential nonlinearity of a MCA with successive approximation ADC is tested by a Sliding Generator and by measuring the compton plateau of 60Co γ rays. Appearing of the nonlinearity as a complicated curve with ups and downs around the averaged counts awakes ones to take care the spectrometer calibration for a precise spectrum measurement
