Description
After a brief description of the FRAGEMA fuel assembly which equips at the present time the pressurized water reactors of EdF (Electricite de France), and a presentation of the experience obtained on this fuel, one reviews the main aims and trends of the research and development program carried out by FRAGEMA to improve the design of fuels and to propose to the national customer, but also on the foreign markets, new products adapted to the demands of operators. One insists more particularly on new products that are on one hand the AFA fuel and on the other hand the burnable poison UO2-Gd2O3; their description is presented and their advantages are given. To conclude, one insists on the importance of the collaboration that have to be kept between the designer and the operator, the manufacturer, the R and D groups and the boiler specialist

Apres une breve description de l'assemblage FRAGEMA standard qui equipe actuellement l'ensemble des reacteurs a eau ordinaire sous pression d'EdF, et une presentation de l'experience acquise sur ce combustible grace a l'ampleur du programme electronucleaire francais et aux resultats obtenus aujourd'hui a l'exportation, on passera en revue les principaux objectifs et les grands axes du programme de recherche et developpement que meme FRAGEMA avec la pleine collaboration du CEA, pour ameliorer la conception des combustibles et proposer au client national, mais egalement sur les marches exterieurs, des produits nouveaux adaptes aux exigences des exploitants. On insistera particulierement sur les nouveaux produits que sont, d'une part, le combustible AFA et, d'autre part, le poison consommable gadolinie UO2-Gd2O3Files
