Description

The concentration profiles of neodymium, erbium and niobium thermally diffused into (001) KTiOPO4 single crystals have been investigated by the Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy. The activation energy EA, and the pre-exponential factor, DO, obtained for Nd, Er and Nb are EA,Nd=5.3 eV, DO,Nd=1.3x10-11 cm2 s-1: EA,Er=6.4 eV, DO,Er=3.6x10-16 cm2 s-1 and EA,Nb=3.8 eV, DO,Nb=1.2x10-14 cm2 s-1.
