Use of standard samples for calibration in the x-ray fluorescence analysis of sedimentary deposits

  • 1. Irkutskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Irkutsk (Russian Federation)

Description

The theoretical possibility of forming calibration sets among the available sets of reference standard samples (RSSs) was shown by the example of the XFA procedure, in which concentrations of elements were determined from correlation equations using theoretical correlation coefficients αij. Based on the 19 RSSs sets of standard reference samples, a calibration set (12 RSSs) was formed for the XFA procedure for a wide class of samples of sedimentary deposits. The reference standard samples not included in the calibration set can be used for controlling the accuracy of the analytical procedure. 4 refs.; 5 tabs
