Improvement on the method for determining radiochemical purity of 99mTc-MDP

Description
By paper chromatography method, taking 0.9% NaCl (System I) and 85% methanol (System II) as two developing solvent systems, the Rf values of 99mTc, 99mTc-colloid and 99mTc-MDP were determined. They are respectively 0.68≅0.76, 0 and 1.0 in System I; 0.6 ≅ 0.7, 0 and 0 in System II. This result indicates 99mTc-colloid can be separated from 99mTc and 99mTc-MDP with System I; 99mTc separated from 99mTc-colloid and 99mTc-MDP with System II. The result indicates the radiochemical purity of 99mTc-MDP can be determined by the two developing solvent systems and developing under nitrogen pressure in System I. The method is convenient, feasible and effective
