Annealing of chemical radiation damage in cadmium nitrate
Description
The kinetics of thermal annealing of chemical radiation damage and the effect of lattice rearrangement on the annealing in cadmium nitrate has been investigated. The kinetic data have been analyzed on the basis of models for vacancy-interstitial combination and also on the basis of conventional chemical kinetics. Rehydration of irradiated anhydrous nitrate induces direct recovery of damage; the recovery process is unimolecular with a velocity constant 2.32 x 10-3 h-1. (author)
