Radio monster discovered behind our Milky Way

Description

The discovery of the third largest (in spatial extent) radio source is announced. Viewed at 2.7 GHz, the enormous radio galaxy stretches over more than 0.7 degrees and is about 0.15 degrees wide. A map showing its position in the galactic plane is given. (G.T.H.)
