Description
On the basis of his own calculations, Eduard Pestel, member of the Club of Rome, comes to the conclusion that the FRG's energy demand is probably much lower than the Federal Government anticipates. His thesis: There is no necessity for the use of nuclear energy until the turn of the century. However, from then onwards, nuclear energy is indispensable. In order to be prepared we have to look for global solutions now. (RW)

Eduard Pestel, Mitglied des Club of Rome, kommt nach eigenen Berechnungen zu der Ansicht, dass der voraussichtliche Energiebedarf der BRD wesentlich niedriger ist, als die Bundesregierung annimmt. Seine These: Bis zum Ende dieses Jahrhunderts ist der Einsatz der Kernenergie nicht notwendig, danach allerdings wird sie unentbehrlich. Um dafuer geruestet zu sein, muessen wir jetzt nach globalen Loesungen suchen. (RW)Additional details
