Development of sorption agents on the basis of transitition metals hydroxides and investigations on the machanisms of the first and second group elements sorption from solutions with high salt content by means of these sorbents

Description

Method of preparation of sorbents on the basis of hidroxides of metals, niobium hidroxide and zirconium hidroxides is cosidered. Niobium hidroxide is reacting with sodium, strontium and barium contained in slightly alkaline solutions an can be treated as a concetrator of alkaline earth elements. It is shown that increase of sodium nitrate content in the solution cause reduction of the strontium absorption by niobium hidroxide. Analogous investigations were made on zirconium hidroxide. Mechanism of niobium hidroxide interaction with strontium compounds in aqueous solutions is descrided. (I.T.)
