Chemisorption investigation of metal zirconium by electron spectroscopy for surface analysis. Mechanism of sorption process
Description
The process of sublimation/distillation have rather essential drawbacks the main of which are: 1) low productivity of pure fluoride output; 2) dependence between the results of purification and concentration of impurities. The use of active packed beds and heated filters made of zirconium is suggested. It permits to increase the productivity of sublimation. In this case the degree od zirconium fluorides purification mainly depends on purity of filter material. The AES, XPS, electron microscopy and other methods of investigation of Zr surface before and after its interaction with gaseous fluid assume the electrochemical nature of adsorption structures. 5 refs.; 3 figs.; 3 tabs
