The Nuclear Materials Metrology Laboratory (LAMMAN)

Description

The LAMMAN was created in 1984 as a laboratory independent of the production departments, with acknowledged competency for the analysis of fissile radioelements and for establishing materials balances. Its primary missions today are to produce certified U or Pu solutions for EQRAIN circuits organized the CETAMA (Committee for the establishment of analysis methods), to prepare reference materials (e.g. uranium oxide doped with impurities), and to develop analytical methods.
