Elastic scattering of α-particles and the nonlinear Schroedinger equation

Description
Elastic scattering of alpha particles with 59Co with calculation of the excitation function for energy range of 23 <Esub(α) <= 28 MeV has been analyzed. An optical model, which reproduced angular distributions in a front hemisphere in the usual form, was used in the calculations. Anomalous scattering at large angles in the given model is taken account of with an additional repulsive potential which affects insignificantly angular distributions in the front hemisphere. Direct relation between phenomenological surface potential and the Schroedinger nonlinear equation is established
